Walmart Data Access Updates: What you need to know
Walmart is updating its data access policies to support responsible, consistent, and transparent use of Walmart data across its partner ecosystem.
Beginning May 1, 2026, a Scintilla Charter subscription is required for access to Walmart data via the Account Level Release (ALR) program through syndicated partners. Suppliers that currently have approved access to the ALR program, but are not subscribed to Scintilla Charter, must become a Scintilla Charter subscriber by January 31, 2027 to retain ALR access.
A Scintilla Charter subscription is designed to support more informed decision-making and stronger collaboration with Walmart merchant teams by providing a more comprehensive view of your Walmart business, including:
- Item-level visibility across your brands, competitors, and private brands
- Insights across shopper, channel, region, market, and store-level performance
- More frequent data refresh and self-service analytics
- Shopper behavior insights such as switching, loyalty, and basket dynamics
If you do not currently have a Scintilla subscription and are interested in learning more, please provide your contact information and a member of our team will reach out with next steps.
